

STUDENT CLASS RULES
1. Always address your instructor at “Sir” or Ma’am”
2. Always bow when entering or leaving the mat
3. Finger and toe nails should be kept short. Jewelry and watches are not to be worn during training
4. Raise your hand if you have a question or statement, and wait to be called on
5. Please use the restroom before class
6. Please arrive to class on time. If you are late, you must do push-ups before joining your classmates.
7. Always show respect to your instructors, parents, guardians, and fellow classmates
8. Always obey your instructors, parents, and higher ranked students
9. No shoes allowed on the mat. Always place your outdoor shoes in the designated areas.
10. Students must be barefoot for class or must wear Instructor approved martial arts footwear
11. Uniform must be clean, worn properly and belt tied before class starts and before entering the mat. Respect your uniform and belt by not throwing them on the ground.
12. Students with long hair should tie up their hair.
13. Line up according the ranking from the right to the left and the front row to the back. Remain in ready stance and await further instruction. Late arrival should line up to the back regardless of their ranking.
14. Students should not enter or leave the class without obtaining permission from your Instructor.
15. If you have any injury, please inform your Instructor before class begins. If you are injured during class, report it to your Instructor right away.
16. Food, alcohol, tobacco, chewing gum, loud conversation, negative behavior and foul language are strictly prohibited. Bullying or aggressive behavior towards another student will not be tolerated.
17. Students are expected to be polite, honest, and humble and always follow the rules of Taekwondo.
18. Taekwondo is for defensive purposes only. Never use Taekwondo outside of class, unless in self-defense or in defense of someone weaker.
19. Do not brag or boast of your Taekwondo abilities inside or outside the dojang.
20. Remember the first rule of self-defense is to avoid conflict wherever possible.
